Vegan Food Guide: Ninh Binh, Vietnam

Most people stay in Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, and this little town has so many restaurants, with some specialised vegan ones too. I spent a while in Ninh Binh on my trip to Vietnam, so I had the opportunity to test a lot of places. Here is a guide to my favourites.

Ngo Dong Vegan Restaurant

Ngo Dong was a really quiet restaurant out of the main streets, but the people running it were lovely and the food was so good.

Tam Coc Noodle Soup Restaurant

This place does not just do noodle soup! It has a huge selection of food and some great vegan options in a very friendly atmosphere.

Ngon Vegan

While it is a little more expensive, Ngon Vegan is an incredible place for food. It’s a mix of Asian cuisines and has really good Thai curries too. The restaurant itself is also beautiful.

Gia Bao Bar and Restaurant

Gia Bao has plenty of vegan and vegetarian options and I loved it.

Hoang Viet Family Restaurant

I had a lot of tofu and tomato sauce in Vietnam, but the one from Hoang Viet was hands down my favourite. I highly recommend it!

Ninh Loan

This was one of the cheapest restaurants I found in Ninh Binh, and the food was great.

Reply 1993 Tam Coc

Reply 1993 is mostly a café, but the setting is beautiful and they have a great vegan banh mi.

Buddha Belly

Buddha Belly is a vegetarian and vegan friendly place that I loved.
