You might think that you would struggle to find vegan food in Copenhagen, where Danish pastries are so prevalent, but luckily Copenhagen has some great vegan food options, including vegan pastries! Here are my tried and tested spots to find the best vegan food in Copenhagen.

Vital Foods

Vital Foods is a great spot for a vegan lunch in Copenhagen. It serves mainly burritos, wraps, and bowls, and you can find some amazing healthy and filling options.

Kaf

Kaf is a fully vegan breakfast, lunch, and bakery place. It has incredible pastries, freshly baked bread, and great vegan cheese and butter. I really enjoyed my breakfast there.

Here Pho

Here Pho serves mainly Vietnamese food. There are plenty of vegan options on the menu, from bao buns and pho to spring rolls and more. It was great value for money and the food was delicious.

Mad & Kaffe

Mad & Kaffe is a chain of vegan bakeries across Copenhagen which are great for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. They are very popular, so you may have to book on weekends and during the summer. However, it is worth it!

Landbageriet

Landbageriet is a small vegan bakery that has traditional Danish pastries, breads, cakes, and snacks. I tried Romkugler, a no-waste cake ball, which was delicious.

Kaffesalonen

For a perfect brunch in Copenhagen, head to Kaffesalonen, where they have part of the restaurant on the water. They have a great brunch spread with plenty of vegan options and the setting is perfect.

42Raw

42Raw is a mostly vegan place in Copenhagen where you can find bowls, salads, sandwiches, burgers, smoothies, and more. They focus on healthy food and it’s definitely not to be missed.

Ameta Bakery

Ameta Bakery has fantastic vegan pastries, as well as freshly baked breads and more. It is Italian/American inspired so you can find great focaccia there too! I highly recommend it.

Grod

Grod is a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Copenhagen. It has plenty of great vegan options including smoothie bowls, salads, curries, and more. Another one to not skip!
